Show uunniuviuu uuvjs By Wynona Henderson 679-8560 After all the beautiful fall weather we knew this colder weather would soon follow. The strong winds have brought some smoke and dust the past few days. Seems it always turns quite cold right before Halloween. Eleven youth from Henrieville LDS Ward and four adult leaders went to the St. George LDS Temple where they performed baptisms for the dead on Saturday. They later went to Chuck-a-Rama and shopping. These are very special youth. All three LDS wards held a combined Halloween activity on Tuesday on the Kenny Goulding property south of town. Over 100 youth and leaders attended. A special thanks to those who planned and participated. They had a corn patch maze, basketball basket-ball with balls that glow in the dark and golf with glow in the dark golf balls. Ralph Chynoweth and Marty Rich, entertained with stories and songs. The weather was near perfect. The senior citizens held a special dinner on Thursday with 1 3 people attending. 'Iris Bushnell had some special spe-cial visitors. Some of her husband, hus-band, Elmo's family Terrell and Iris Bond of Meadow came and on Tuesday his cousins Marilyn and Sandra Swallow from California. Several homes near theirs burned but they were fortunate for-tunate and did not lose their home. Esther Johnson came from Cedar City to work and visit her folks Gary and Sandy Johnson. Rhoda Shafer was happy to have her daughter, Donna and husband Duane Metcalf of West Valley City for a few days to visit. She reports that Elwood and Vaunda Willis are home from their LDS mission to Spain. Rhoda Shafer and Russ and Lyllian LeFevre were in St. George visiting their family; Lynn and Mala Shakespear and family who have moved into a new home after having lived in Las Vegas, Nev. several years. Ernie and Wynona Henderson had a brief visit with Teora Willis at her home in St. George. She works at the St. George LDS Temple. Visiting Lula Moore was the granddaughter of the late Ivan and Maxine Chynoweth, Robyn and Ron Randall of West Valley City. Lisa Chynoweth has been filling in as postmaster while Thelma Smith has been attending attend-ing meetings this week. |
