Show New Respiratory Therapy Unit At Garfield Memorial Hospital The Garfield Memorial Hospital has added to their services a Respiratory Therapy Dept. to be used in cases of heart disease, accidents, certain diseases of early infancy, influenza and pneumonia and emphysema cases- Ronald Hatch, person in charge of the department will coordinate all in-patient and out-patient therapy service to include: pulmonary function testing, all oxygen set ups, IPPB treatments, nebulizer treatments and other bervices. Persons unable to breath on their own, will be able to breath through the aid of the new Bennett Machine. When the patient begans breathing on their own the machine will automatically turn off. This machine will also pump water from a persons lungs. Mr. Hatch is also helping in the X-ray and laboratory departments, and keeps all the machinery in the hospital in working order.
