Head Start child applications can be picked up at the Workforce Services Office or by calling 1 800 796 6070. SUU Head Start is a federally funded preschool program whose purpose is to promote school readiness of low-income children aged 3 and 4 (first priority is given to children that are four by September 1, 2011), by enhancing their cognitive, social, and emotional development. Eligibility for Head Start is based on income (less than $22,350 for a family of 4), family size, child need and family need. Families of children with special needs who do not meet the income guidelines are also welcome to apply. The SUU Head Start Program has served children and families in southwestern Utah since 1984. Each Head Start classroom is limited to 18 children where well-trained staff members provide quality education, health, family and support services to low-income and/or at risk families. Head Start respects parents as the most important teacher, and encourages parents to work with teachers in planning the curriculum to individualize for their child. The program is free, but parents are asked to volunteer in the classroom, serve on policy groups and support Head Start in other ways. Community involvement and collaboration is also needed to support Head Start Activities. Please ask a Head Start representative how you can be a hero by volunteering for children and their families. The $6.4 billion in world-wide ticket sales make the Potter franchise the highest grossing in fim history. OTHER STATS: At least 13 colleges are teaching Harry Potterthemed courses...including Swathmore (`Battling Against Voldemort'), Yale (`Christian Theology and Harry Potter'), and Oregon State (`Finding Your Patronius'). More than 20,000 spectators watched 46 teams on broom-sticks at the 2010 Quidditch World Cup in New York, paying homage to Harry's favorite sport. (The winner hailed from Middle- bury College, home to the four year old International Quidditch Assoc. 409,000 people follow J.K.
