This was only the second time that the 2A team won in thirteen years. The 2A team showed up with 4, 6 footers and they were good. The 1 A team played them tough only losing by a couple of points in each set. This game only has winners in it, they are the best seniors from all over Utah and came from as far as Moab to play. One girl said this was the most fun playing volleyball she has had in 4 years, and she wanted to play the best 7 out 13 games. The girls get to play along with the best and make many friends. Many thanks to the Lions who helps finance this and Many Thanks to the Norris's for all the effort that it takes to put on such an event. We have got to stop having conflicting events. Most of us want to be in both places. Three Panguitch High volleyball players have been invited to play in the Utah Coaches invitational game in SLC, Breanne Bateman, Kalani Norris and Taelyr Tebbs. This is a game where the South plays the North 1 A teams, and will be held Saturday morning. Unfortunately this is also the start of basketball season and there is a tournament at the Sevier Center, in Richfield. The girls are also on the basketball team and they have a game Friday night and will leave for SLC after the game, play Saturday morning and be back in Richfield for another basketball game in the afternoon, so the girls will have a busy weekend.
