As usual lots of good food and conversation. Marion Littlefield and his boys held their annual Father, Grandfather, and Son reunion up at Blind Lake. Attending this fun fishing event was Mitch Littlefield with his four boys, Austin from St. George, grandson Steven was here visiting so he went along, another grandson Zak and of course Grandpa Marion were all there. They had a great time together. The Fourth celebrations were wonderful in the Bryce Area. Henrieville and Cannonville met in Cannonville for their celebrations. Tropic had a big celebration at the Town Park. Both had a good turnout of people and a lot of success with all of the games, booths, parades, etc. Thanks go out to the planners, the Mayors, and the Town Councils for the exciting entertainment for our Country's Birthday. Ashley Nelson went to the Summer Games and SUU Camp. She played basketball with her teammates from Bryce Valley High School and many other schools in the area. Ashley was chosen to be on the All-Start team and played with them and was able to score four points. Congratulations Ashley. Rachel Thompson Bright and husband were home visiting Guy and Beverly Thompson. While here they decided to have their beautiful little daughter blessed and given a name. They call her Aleah Ann and she is their first girl after having three boys. How exciting is that for this family. Congratulations. The Thompson's also held a family reunion with daughters Savannah, Cecile, and Dixie attending. Son Guy Jr. was also here and everyone had their families with them. Joining in the fun was Brook and Phoebe Wiseman who are part of the family. Only Heidi and Debra their other daughters were unable to attend. Everyone had a great time visiting and enjoying each other. Max and Logann Eager blessed their darling little boy and named him James Felix. It was held at Willis Creek and there were a lot of family members attending and enjoying the nice weather and each other. Even Dorian and Mary Johnson wandered down form Alaska to join in. Gary Winegar was released as Assistant Clerk in Henrieville Ward. Congratulations to Whitney Roberts on being baptized by her grandfather, Darwin Shakespeare. It was an exciting time for her and she is the daughter of Krisette Roberts of Tropic and the granddaughter of Darwin and Kathy Shakespeare. Congratulations to Zennon Hutchings on being ordained a Deacon and gradutating from Primary in the Tropic Ward. His parents are Mike and Lesa Ahlstrom with grandparents being Doug and Vicki Ahlstrom. Visiting with family in the area were Tome and Janice Klein. Janice is the daughter of Irving and Viola Rose. LoriLei Adkins and children have been in Boise visiting the Adkins family and having a nice time. Congratulations to Craig and Tina Brown of Enoch on the birth of their adorable baby boy, Kace Davis. Grandparents are Alfred and Toni Foster with Greatgrandparents being Alfred and Leda Mae Foster. Others visiting in the area were Justin and Jocelyn who is the daughter of Ron and Susan Harris. Saw Leslie Feltner and children here for the Fourth celebration visiting with Lamar and Cheri Feltner. Kerry Alvey and Eric Syrett are back in Chicago with the FCCLA kids. Lacey Mangum Johnson and her family were here visiting with Pete and Keela Mangum. Kayla Pollock is sporting a beautiful new engagement ring and will be married in about six weeks. In meeting today Kaylena Kilfoyle, Ellen Clarke, Megan Leech, and Malory Clarke sang some beautiful songs for us depicting the Psalms scriptures. Sandy Johnson enjoyed visiting with four of her daughters and their families this past week. She visited the families of Rebecca Albrecht and Ruth Carter in Minersville. She rode to Tooele with the Carter's to visit Brady and Sarah Bradshaw and their family for several days. Then she visited Nathan and Esther Rigby and their two children in Salt Lake City. While up in Salt Lake City Sandy attended the marriage of her nephew and his new bride, Jacob and Carla Lifferth, in the Oquirrh Temple. For those interested in doing their Family History research the Family History Center will be closed during July until the 15th of August because of all the summer activities. Just a reminder that the C.E.R.T. training is every Thursday at 7:00 P.M. in the Fire House. Be sure to bring a friend with you for these valuable training exercises. Art and Vicki Syrett had their own little family reunion this weekend. David, Mike and Karen joined them with their children and participated in an evening at Ebenezer's Barn and Grill and then partaking of the fun activities for the fourth of July.
