Show The Garfield County Insider October 15, 2009 Page 7 LEGAL NOTICES GARFIELD COUNTY RESOLUTION 2009-6 A RESOLUTION CHANGING POLICY ON COYOTE BOUNTIES WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Garfield, State of Utah has the responsibility to determine county policies within the County of Garfield; and WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners have determined that there is a need to change the county-wide policy concerning the payment of bounties for coyotes. NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved by the Board of Commissioners of the County of Garfield, State of Utah as follows: REQUIREMENTS: A. Both ears of the animal, in their entirety, and preferably containing a partial scalp, must be produced before a $20.00 bounty will be paid. B. If the animal is to be skinned, the full pelt may be produced and a county representative or their agent or designee, will slit the ears, not causing damage to the pelt. C. When either the entire ears or the coyote pelt is produced, a voucher must be signed by the producer. After a signature is obtained, the county will mail the $20.00 bounty to the producer. D. In order to receive a bounty for the termination of a coyote, the producer must produce satisfactory evidence that they are either a Garfield County resident, or own real property in Garfield County. The producer must also affirm that the animal was killed within the boundaries of Garfield County. EFFECTIVE DATE: This resolution shall take effect immediately upon passage. MOORE, Garfield County Clerk/Auditor COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT(CDBG) FIRST PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE Tropic Town Garfield County, will hold a public hearing to consider potential Projects for which funding may be applied under the CDBG Small Cities Program for year 2010. Suggestions for potential projects will be solicited, both verbally and in writing, from all interested parties. The expected amount of CDBG funds for this program year will be discussed along with the range of project eligible under this program and a review of previously funded projects. Published in The Garfield County Insider on October15th, 2009. UPAXLP 2010 CONSERVATION DISTRICT ELECTION A Conservation District (CD), is a governmental limited purpose local district. Its purpose is to improve and protects land and water resources for public benefits. A 5-member elected citizen board governs a CD. They serve 4-year terms of office. They give local direction and priority to federal, state and local government conservation programs. Board decisions are made in meetings open to the public. Elections are in progress to fill 2 Supervisor positions on each of the state’s 38 CD boards. Candidates were selected by a local nominating committee. Ballots are mailed to private agricultural land operators listed with the Utah Conservation Commission (UCC). Any registered Utah voter, or private agricultural land owner/manager not on the list, may vote by requesting a ballot. The UCC and the UT Dept. of Agriculture and Food direct and conduct these elections. Ballot request forms are available from your CD chair, Co.
