BV PAT DIX BOBCATS LIVE ON THE EDGE Trailing 7 to 3 going into the bottom of the 6th inning against a very good Wayne High nine, the Bobcats were forced to pull off another of their miracle finishes. Anders Humphries led off with a base on balls and moved to second on Andy Barney's base hit. After another base on balls to Clinton Miner, Taylor Bremner hit a hot smash up the middle that plated two runs with Bremner taking second on the throw home. Cameron Leach's second hit of the day scored Bremner to tie it at 7 all. After a fly out to left, Brady Barney singled in Leach with the go ahead run, to make it an 8 to 7 game. The Cats first two runs of the ball game came on Tyler Pollock's 2 run homer in the first inning. It was his second of the season. In Wayne's last at bat, with 1 out and a man on first, Cameron Leach induced a ground ball to shortstop that Bremner turned into a game ending 6-4-3 double play. Leach, who went all the way on the hill, gave up only 2 earned runs while, strik-ing out 7 to gain the win. SMASHMOUTH Thursday.
