Show FEBRUARY 1,2007 THE Page 6 GARFIELD COUNTY INSIDER We have started our free tax preparation program for the County. Right now we are available in Tropic every Monday night from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the BVES Annex Building (Garfield County Volunteer Center). We will be adding other times and locations shortly, which I'll let you know of as soon as they come available. People wishing to make an appointment must simply call "2-1-1" from a landline and tell them they'd like to make an appointment to have their taxes completed for free in Garfield County and the volunteers at 211 will take their name and phone number and then we'll contact them to give them specific directions on what to bring to the appointment etc. There is an income limit this year (less than $38,500) for who we can prepare taxes for and certain more complicated ones we can't prepare. Individuals can contact me directly if they have specific questions about if we can do their taxes. If you have additional questions call me or email back. Thank you!!! He was born June 1, 1910 to James Nathan and Sarah Olive Lee Henrie in Panguitch, Utah. He attended school in Panguitch. On September 20, 1933 he married his sweetheart and eternal companion, Rosemond Mamie Day in the St. George LDS Temple. They spent their honeymoon at the sheep herd on Kanab Creek, where his father owned property and sheep. For years on their anniversary they would take a picnic and go spend the day there. They were able to go one last time for their 70th anniversary three years ago. Keith farmed and raised livestock. Together with his wife Rosie, they owned and operated Tractor Service, repairing automobiles, farm machinery and selling Massey Ferguson Tractors and implements. The business was taken by fire in 1958. Keith then bought a backhoe and a hay bailer and did commercial work. He also dug the graves at the Panguitch Cemetery for free to the families until Panguitch City purchased their own backhoe. Keith and Rosemond brought cousins John M. Guymon and Mary Katherine Guymon into their home and legally adopted them. They were a joy to them. They were grateful for this opportunity to raise a family. Keith was so pleased with his family and loved them so much. His grandchildren and great-grandchildren have many sweet memories of their time with him and Rosie. Keith was an active member of the Garfield County Sheriffs Posse and Search and Rescue for many years. He was President of the West Panguitch Irrigation Company, and Garfield County Farm Bureau Association. He and Rosemond spent many winters in Mesquite, Nevada and later Washington, Utah at Cherokee Springs.
