How do I plan to create jobs? a. We need to search for ways to tap into the growing needs for energy in the United States. b. The Milford wind farm is employing 255 people, lets pursue this. c. Its been suggested that a solar panel plant might be an option. d. Could the farmers in Garfield County diversify to crops that could be used for biofuels? e. Lets give our children that have home base businesses the incentive to bring their businesses back to Garfield County. f. Lets expand the services at our Hospital. g. Lets pursue the needs for assisted living in our county. h. As your commissioner I will listen to any and all ideas from you to create jobs in Garfield County. The next question is two fold. 1.Are you running for office so that you can take over the garbage collection in Garfield County? 2. Do you plan to lay off Garfield County employees? Absolute not on both questions! When I lost my job at the Sawmill like many of you I was looking for a way to make a living and to be able to stay and raise my family in Garfield County. I saw the need for curbside garbage collection in our county. The people who want this service are already using my business. Those of you who do not are using the county bins. This gives everyone a choice which is the democratic way. I want my customers to know that I appreciate your continued support. If elected it will be my goal to create jobs not take them away The Garfield County employees are my friends and neighbors. To say that I want to take their jobs away is an insult to me and my integrity. I am running because I want to do the job. I have been attending the commissioner meeting for the last 8 months. I want the best for our County. I feel that I know the needs of the entire County . I want you to know that I have the time and dedication to serve as your commissioner and I am asking for your VOTE on JUNE 22, 2010. Thank You Wallace R. Veater Candidate for Garfield County Commissioner Come and meet with Wally next door to Mangum Chiropractic office on main street after the Tractor Parade on June 12th. We will be handing out chocolate covered strawberries. Wally will answer any questions that you might have.
