MUSEUM SCOPE Territorial Slslehouse Stste Historical Monument by Max Martin, Park Superintendent We at the Statehouse hope you will like our news caps. Museum Scope." Since museums are often thought of as some place you can go if you can't think of anywhere else, perhaps we should toot our horn, blow our bugle, and wave our banner, or in other words we have no intention of rolling over and playing dead. We want you to know we are still here, alive and well and want to serve you. There is no organization that has a greater variety of intcicsting stories to tell than a museum. Due to the wide variety of information available through museum media, our intended periodical news column is being given the appropriate title "Museum Scope." The word "scope" as we intend to use it. is not merely a mouth wash or gargle. To us it has a deeper meaning, better explained by Webster: 1. Space or opportunity for unhampered motion, activity or thought 2. Intention object 3. Extent of treatment, activity or influence 4. Range of operation We hope our effort to contribute newsworthy an teles and service will be of interest to you and give a deeper appreciation for your museum and those w ho woik to make it a credible attraction to your community. We arc a history museum and therefore an educational institution as well as entertainment and a variety of other interests under the direction of Utali State Division of Pat ks & Recreation. It is hoped our community will enjoy, support and use this fine park. Our phone number is if we can be of help. Total Investment by (J. S. farmers now exceeds $820 billion.
