It is designed to help them realize that politics start at the grass roots with nominating a qualified person to run for office at mass meetings. Then following up our support by voting and thus having our say and establishing an effective, governmental qi ality system. A good policy to remember is that democratic government is only as strong as those who make it function. There were 51 seniors that participated in our program and 11 dignitaries to represent Federal. State, County and City government. We also had sections on Police and Courts and our Political Party System. All of these sections were expertly handled and very well received by students and attending faculty. Many of the dignitaries reported that they felt the program was very good and had a good experience with the students. The students were encouraged to ask questions and find out stands on policies that they were interested in. It was a pleasure to work with Millard High School Principal Jay Rich-ma- n and Social Sciences teacher Brown. Lloyd They were very instrumental in the success of this program and we wish to thank them for letting us share this tremendous program with the students at Millard High. At this time we would like to publicly thank Karen Thorn, representing Senator Gam's office: Dr. Edwin L. Peterson, USU; Sheriff Ed Phillips; Justice of the Peace, Ron Hare; Co. Recorder LaVoy Martin; County Treasurer Mary Day.
