Show HANS DIES tuesday november mr air hans died after several months of 0 illness for the pt past spring and summer mr air Ra amussen has suffered acute stomach trouble which gradually sapped his bis vitality in spite I 1 af pf of the best medical attention and culminated in his death last tuesday mr air Rasmus senK was lift eight years of age having been born in denmark january IS 1867 when hs he was eleven years old his parents sailed to this continent and settled here in fillmore since then he has spent practically all of 0 his life in this community with the exception ot of about eight years which lie phed in salt lake city april 1888 he bo married miss martha critchley also of Fl fillmore Ilmore to this union six children were svere born ot of which five are still living one a haby baby girl who having proceeded him to the great beyond tair mr Kas mussen is survived by his wife and the following children mrs may G mountford mr air E it mrs inez ashman mr W A Kas mussen and lewis lie he is also survived by the following brothers and sisters mr air christian christensen of 0 centerfield Center field utah mrs caroline hanson mrs hannah anderson mr lars lare mr air all of 0 fillmore one sister mrs sena jackson prece proceeded eded him to the great beyond lie ile was the son bon ot of mr air knud and marle alarie who proceeded prece eded him many years ago hans is well known in this and the northern part of the state as a contractor and builder the vocation he has followed all ot of ills life in this locality some of 0 tle the largest and best constructed buildings such as the county court house stand as lasting monuments to the skill and ability of hans as a builder although handicapped by having had only five weeks of schooling in his life mr air through diligent del igent self education became becaro one ot of the best mathematicians ceans and best nia men in vie the community in tact fact his ability as a mathematician made him one of 0 the most formidable competitor of bont contractors in this local loc aUlty lity As soon as his sons had completed their schooling mr air trained them in the different branches of his trade and for a number of years they have leen boen working as 11 and sons co contractors recently do ao 10 poor health mr ir has remained practically an inactive member of the company but nevertheless until the end ho he remained its head bead and advisor from a mere unschooled carpenter by trade hans through I 1 a burning desire to learn and advance gradually equipped himself tor for better positions until he be was hired by large contracting companas comp anys in salt lake city to act as foreman over buildings under construction it was at this work that ho he first showed a more than ordinary abi ability allty to handle men ile he had bad a way of treating then as he liked to be trae braet ed when he was a tradesman and yet his personality compelled respect I 1 and the exercising of the best beat ability of those under him when he became a contractor cont himself this same fair treatment of those working tor for him carried over and no man that ever worked tor for hans hang has anything to say against him mr has always been a great lover of nature ile he is a charter member of the fillmore rod and gun club and all his life has been a hunter and fisherman f from rom the sheer joy ot of exercising in the great open ills his home always had a neat and well kept appearance app earence and lie ho delighted in planting and caring for beautiful shrubs and flowery flower 3 the memory of hans hana will long remain with those who knew him I 1 I 1 funeral services will be held in the fillmore ward chapel friday at 2 P at |
