Show Our Fillmore Garden DAY Laic in (he Spring of each year, the Federated Clubs of the Country hold first their District Conventions, next their State Conventions and later, in early summer. their National Conventions, in order to evaluate the accomplishments made by the members that ear. as well as to formulate plans for the coming year. Last Saturday morning eight of the members of the Last Millard Fine Arts Guild attended the Convention of the Nebo First District held in the Art Building at The eight who attended were Springs ille. Annette Dav. president of the Nebo First District; Linda Baugh, secretary; Helen Huntsman, president of the Fast Millard Fine Arts Guild; Fdith Callister, Stella Dav, and Dora Robison, all officers or past officers; T Ida Freeman, the president elect for the coming year; and Helen Baker, who is a member from Delta. Pat Iverson was elected historian for Nebo First District at the Saturday meeting. Karen Wright, Nephi, was i r-named vice president. The General Federation of Women's Clubs plans very educational programs for the clubs for each year, which includes American home, conservation, international relations, literature, public affairs, education, and religion. There are also special programs such as Hands Up." which is a program whereby the women of America can help the law officers in controlling crime I in this country. on education the Women have the greatest influence aI of the children of the family. Thus they should be aware of the problems facing the Mayor and City CounTim McLloyd Tuttle and Ruth Ann Colledge cil; the problems facing the County officers, and the State and National officers.
