Hettie Meinmott was born September 24, 1884, to Thomas and Martha Ann IvteMemmott. We went to school together and all religious meetings I think 1 loved her from ear'ychlldhool. Aftershe became a girl in her teens she wasnt very well. It looted like for a time she wasnt going to make It. The good Lord had a job for her to do and she did it. She started as secretary in the Sunday School when she was just a gtrl. She worked in the Sunday school In all classes for 63 year. In looking over some of her papers I found a receipt from the general president of the primary for 20 years of service. Then she started working In the Relief Society. She worked as counselor for some time then went In as president. She was that for 13 years. Things have changed. The Relief Society had to care for the dead, make the temple clothes and see the body was taken care of. Carpenters Lars Peterson and Lars Jensen made the caskets. W1 -- n we had the wood dances and supper the water was heated 1r s Urge kettle outside the Relief Hall. What a change! While In the Relief work she didnt put so much time onthn that were coming along alrtgh. She put her time In these who were down tnd out and heeded help.
