Adams, WEED WORK TO START The WPA weed project will get underway In Millard County during the first week of May. It is understood that work will only be done on public property, which means land owned by the county, state, public highways, canal banks, and etc. No WPA work will be done on private farm property. It Is assumed that Yarmers will take advantage of the Soil Conservation Prcgram for the eradication of noxlus weeds on their own farm proFarmers, who are Intending perty. to do weed work under the Soil Conservation Program, must file an application for thla work. A few application blanks have come to the office, and those who wish thea blanks should obtain them as soon as possible. TREE. PRIM NO Many people In Millard County are planting new shade trees this spring. Thla Is a very commendable practice and should make considerable Improvement In the appearance of bomee and communities, providing these troes are well placed and correctly pruned. It trees are wanted tor shade on the house they should be placed near the building. Trees planted In rows down the aide, or In front of the home lot, seldom serve adequately for shade or any other landscape purpose. They should be so placed as to enframe the home, give proper shade, or screen objectionable views. These points should he considered before the position Is decided Funeral services will be held In the Fillmore First Ward, Sunday, April .26. at 2 P.
