Show General Rules Lad fteoulalions 1972 Flower Show 1. Competition Is open only to residents of Millard Coun- ty. 2. Judged classes are open to amateurs only. Commercial exhibitors are invited to make entries for display only. 3. Exhibits will be received at the fair building In Deseret from 6 a.m. until 9:30 a.- ro. Friday, Aug. 11. - 4. All entries In cultural classes must be correctly named. An effort will be made to help you name your flowers; correctness in naming will tell In close competi- tion. 5. No other foliage will be allowed with entries In cul- tural classes. 6. Material used In arrangements must be Vases by exhibitors - 6. Material used In arrangement classes nooj not "be grown by exhibitors. 7. Containers for artistic arrangements must be furnished by exhlbUors. Vases for specimen entries are for use of exhibitors. 8. Try one of the themes and see how creative you can be. CompetUlon U open to all. Arrangements will be Judged on orlglnalUy of design and Interpretation of the theme chose. Themes to follow: Class 1. Mountain Majesties: An arrangement 18" tall or over suggesting mountain large and majestic. Class 2. FruUed Plains; An arrangement that Includes frutts, berries, seeds, pods, nuts, or other types of plant frutts. E may Include other kinds of fresh cut plant materials such as flowers and foliage and, or figurines related to the theme. Class 3. Alabasters An arrangement of white flowers. Figurines may be used If desired. Class 4. America: An arrangement suggesting love of our country or patriotism. Figurines and other materials may be used to carry out the theme. Class 5. For the Breakfast Table; An arrangement suitable for use on the breakfast table.
