GRAND OPENING The grand opening of the new First Security Bank building In Delta on Saturday, May 1, marks another milestone In the long history of banking In Delta. Bank officials are planning open house to celebrate the completion of the building from noon to 4:00 p.m. Formal banking came to Delta In 1913 when the Delta State Bank ojened Us doorsfor business. James A. Melville was President and Frank A. Beck-wSr., served as cashier. In 1919, the First National Bank commenced operations wUh Frank Copening, President and J. B. Chrlsterson, cashier. This building was eventually destroyed by fire. First National Bank closed Us doors tn 1922 and Delta Bank ceased business four years later. Another bank, Millard State Bank's Pahvant Valley branch, also operated In Delta for a brief period before closing. The Richfield Commercial Savings Bank opened on Sept.
