Show FUNERAL SERVICES HELD FOR GEORGE A GEORGE impressive funeral services were held in the kanosh ward church thursday february 9 tor for george alma george who died there monday following a short illness mr george was born january 13 1854 a son of william and mary ormond george lie he had spent most of his life in millard county ills his wife marla maria charlesworth george died 14 years ago mr air george was one of millard countes Coun tys prominent citizens ile he was a stockman farmer and financier and was one of the first directors director a 0 of the state bank of millard county he was widely and favorably known in this part ot of the state and the large number of 0 people attend attending inq these last services from kanosh fillmore meadow and other communities were a silent tribute of 0 the many friends of mr air george georga and his large family the services were conducted by frank christensen a member of the kanosh ward bishopric the speakers were leslie george james A kelly W A paxton and frank slaughter all of whom bore a testimony to the tine fine character of the deceased the ward choir sang the opening song beautiful isle ot of somewhere the invocation was offered by A T bishop christensen then read a telegram from eugene george a grandson who resides in california expressing his regret that he be would not be able to attend miss aliss whitaker sang a solo in the garden of tomorrow mrs mona robison sang a solo with mr air golden johnston playing the violin obligate mr air johnson played my rosary on the violin and the choir sang the closing anthem oh my father with miss whitaker singing the solo v rhe he benediction was pronounced by ajr ir 4 will staples interment was in 4 athe the kanosh cemetery surviving are four sons and to tour y r leroy and lizzie george mrs bertha cummings and mrs airs vie via bement of kanosh owen george of 0 pleasant grove and mrs mary alice christensen of fillmore a sister ellen bird of kanosh and 45 grandchildren 40 great grandchildren and a great great grandchild |
