From that small beginning the PTA has grown to be the most powerful and conscientious voice for Publicity, millions of volunteer hours to im- proving the education and ex- perience of the nations young people. In Nebo District alone our local PTA organizations have already donated 15,966 volunteer hours to the schools in our district this year. During the present educational crisis in Utah, the PTA has again shown itself to be a strong advocate for children and youth. State and local officers have spent many long Traveling to Ely, Nevada, on Saturday to attend the marriage of their son, Tom, and Brenda Broughton, were Mr. and Mrs. George Gillepie. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Goff of Ely. Accompanying them on the trip were Bill and Joanie Larson and son, Lloyd, of Lofgren; and Ride and Jeanie Hopes of Provo. Joanie and Jeanie are Toms sisters. His brother, Vincent, and Terri Sue, drove from Fort Bridger, Wyoming to attend. Although the weather in Utah was wintery when they left, they encountered no problems along the way. All returned home on Sunday evening. ST.
