Mrs. Richard Stapley was hostess to a group of young matrons last Thursday evening, at Lucille's Lounge. Canasta furnished the evening's entertainment. The guest list included: Mrs. Vance Wilde, Mrs. Jerry Giles, Mrs. Dan Lucas, Mrs. Kay Cushing, -- Mrs. t, Ken Taylor, Mrs. Richard Mrs. Max Sorensen, Mrs. Terry Kay, Mrs. Myron Carpenter, Mrs. Ralph Greenhalgh and Mrs. Jim Monnoso. Robert Gourley and his son, Bob, Jr., and his son, of Spanish Fork were in town Sunday visiting for a few hours with Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Gourley. in home ceremony January 25 Elks enjoy big dinner meeting Untie Lodge No. 711, BPOE, held "Old Timers Night and "Past Exalted Rulers Night at the Elks club rooms. Preceding the meeting the members met at Gig's Cafe at 6:30 p.m. for a steak dinner. Past Exalted Rulers took over the chairs for the meeting. Old timers attending the meeting were given special honor. At the close of the meeting a Tyler's lunch was served. Mrs. Bemell Thomas and Mrs. Ed Thomas visited in Provo last Thursday with Mrs. R. H. Boswell and in Springville .with Mr. and Mrs. Glen Tolley. Ladies of Elks Ladies of Elks met in regular session .Tuesday evening in the Elks Clubrooms, President Leona Laird presided. After a routine business meeting had been disposed of, plans were discussed for the annual breakfast party, which will be held February 22. Officers are urging the members to support the breakfast, as the funds from the party will be used for a worthy cause. All Elks and their partners are invited to attend the breakfast After the meeting, a special hour was enjoyed, with Bridge furnishing the diversion. Prizes were won by Mrs. Heber Cush-- , ing, Mrs. Ray Badertscher and Mrs. William Roberts. Mrs. Frank Peart was the hostess for the evening and served a delicious lunch. Mrs. Gary Foulger and small son of Salt Lake City is spending the week here at the James McNeil home. She was called here by the serious illness of her father, James McNeil. Mrs. Bessie Toone, Mrs. Laurene Becker and Dan Berry were in Milford Saturday visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Frank Thompson. Mr. and Mrs. John McNeil of Grants Pass, Oregon, left on Thursday for their home. They were called here by the serious illness of his brother, James McNeil. Pick up your phone and go visiting tonight MOUNTAIN STATES TELEPHONE () Mrs. Maude McIntyre returned to her home in Mammoth 500 Club Mr. and Mrs. Frank Coombs of Pleasant Grove, Mrs. Ellen Wolf, Mrs. Carol Larsen of Spanish Fork, Mrs. Georgia Roach, Payson; Mrs. Leola Farnsworth, Mrs. Adeline Tuc-ke- tt Wednesday afternoon after a trip to California. She went to Oceanside to attend funeral services for Louis A. Magee, a prominent rancher of Southern California. Mr. Magee lived in Mammoth for about twelve years and was employed at the Mammoth Supply during his residence there. He died on January 20 in a hospital in Oceanside. He made many trips to Mammoth during the years, and will be remembered by many former residents. Mrs. McIntyre was a guest of Mrs. Magee during her stay in The 500 Club met last Thursday afternoon at a local cafe. Mrs. Oscar Erickson was the hostess for the meeting. Luncheon was served followed by an afternoon of cards. Prizes for the games went to Mrs. Dean Rose, Mrs. Gerald Aitken, Mrs. Ed Webb and Mrs. John Jones. Others attending were Mrs. William Paxman, Mrs. Bren-- , nan Hannifin, and Mrs. Harold Sorensen. Tintic OES . Tintic Chapter No. 18, OES met Monday evening. A routine business session was conducted by Worthy Matron Mary Horton assisted by Worthy Patron Floyd Nash. Plans for a smorgasbord dinner were discussed. Georgia 'Roach, immediate past worthy matron, gave a school of instruction to the members. At the conclusion of the chapter work, tasty refreshment were served by Ethel Brenton and Elsie Nilson.
