Show THE EUREKA (UTAH) REPORTER January 4, 1963 New Year's Eve dancing party held Dinner, dancing party enjoyed One of the most delightful parties of the holiday season was the New Year's Eve dan cing party given by the Tintic Lodge B.P.O.E., No. 711, at the Elk's club rooms. A banquet yas served at 7 p.m., and the Elks chorus presented several numbers, with Ronald Griggs directing. Jerry Sanderson accompanied a few of the numbers, and Dave and Duane Garbett accompanied . others on the Page Three guitar. The musical program was thorough ly enjoyed by all those attend ing. Dancing followed the dinner and program and at midnight horns, confetti and various other noise makers were distributed among the guests and the New Year was ushered in with appropriate ceremonies. A buffet lunch was enjoyed at 10 a.m. and the evening was pronounced a success by the Elks and their wives, and a vote of thanks was given to the entertainment committee for the successful party. Odd Fellows elect new officers Odd Fellows Lodge met last Friday, Dec. 28 in the Memorial Building, with Noble Grand J. H. Thomas conducting. A routine business session was disposed of and an election of officers for the coming year wes held, with the following results: Noble Grand, Clyde Campbell, vice Grand, Rulon Bradford, Secretary, Vem Nev-er- s; and Treasurer, James Maxwell. There was a good turn-oat the meeting. Next meeting will be on Jan. 18, and Noble Grand is asking for a good attendance. ut New Years guests at the James Toone home in Mam-ot- h were Mr. Dick Walker Mr. and Mrs. Lew Calton and of Wells, Nevada. Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Fitch were hosts at a dinner party New Years Eve. A buffet dinner was served early in the evening, followed by dancing until after the Ney Year had been welcomed in. About 30 members of the family and friends were in attendance at the nicely arranged party. The music was under direction of Mayme Wirthlin at the organ, with Carolee Bigler chorister. Speaker was Ray Westover, a returned missionary, of Santa-quia short talk was given Max Berry; and a piano by solo was given by Shirla Bingham of Santaquin. Other family members attending were Mrs. John Sutherland (Bredna Gourley) Mr. and Mrs. James Anderson of Salt Lake City, Mr. and Mrs. John Campbell and children, Trade and Tony of Granger, the Sutherland sons, Craig and Kerry and John Johnson.
