Camxnerdil Club Offers ' $10 Itor The Bat Slogan Tintic Commercial Club Enthuiutio A wry enthusiastic meeting of thi new Tlntte Commercial Club held on Tuesday evening. The billiard. which ewept . over Tlntte that evening, prerented a large attend anoe and for that reason It was decided to postpone for one week the formal organisation of the club and the election of the first set of officers. Tuesday's meeting, notwithstanding the fact that the attendance was limited to a boat fifty members, was an Interesting one and some good suggestions, regarding the operation of the dab, were made. First of all the membership committee reported haring signed np about US business .and mining men and It Is thought that fully as many more will Join the dub before the charter doses. The committee on organisation submitted a report and stated that literature regarding other dubs of Utah, which had been sent for, had not arrlred and this caused the postponement of the time for electing officers. A slogan committee was appointed, mention of which Is made In another part of this paper, and a resolution regarding freight and smelting charges on Tintle ores was read and adopted. The resolution Is also published In this weeks paper and the committee which will make u At their last n ng the members of the new Tlntte Commercial Club appointed a committee to conduct a contest, the object of which will be to suggest a slogan for the dub. The slogan committee consists of Claude Dennis, E. K. Bradley, L L. Williamson, Heber Jones and C. Rife and they have announced that the contest will be open to everyone in Tlntte, the prise for the beet slogan of ten words or less for the club Is 10. The dogan should be written on one dip of paper and the name of the person submitting it on the other and addressed to the Slogan Committee, Tlntte Commercial Club. The Judges who pass upon the various slogans submitted will not know who has submitted them. The contest closes at oclock on January 19th. Several pupils from the high school and other schools of Tlntte have already announced their Intention of trying for the prise and many others Will no doubt submit slogans.
