Father Walter was celebrant. "Christ, the Lord is Risen Today" was the Entrance Hymn. Scripture readings were from the Acts of the Apostles; the book of Revelation; and the holy gospel according to John. In John's gospel reading, Jesus shows Himself really alive. We cannot sec Him as the Apostles did, but Jesus says: "Happy are they who have not seen, yet have believed." In his homily on the readings, Father spoke funher on Faith and Fellowship. Recessional hymn was "Alleluia! Alleluia!" Mass on Sunday, April 26, will begin at the regu- lar time.. 4:00 p.m. METHODIST Worship Service for the Second Sunday of Easter at the United Methodist Church, was conducted by Pastor Curt Pollock, with the assistance of Mabel Butler, organist; Allen Evans, liturgist and usher; and Sandy Evans, acolyte. Opening hymn was "Shall We Gather At The River." The New Testament Lesson was taken from the Acts of the Apostles 5:27-3- 2; and the Gospel Message was from John 20:19-3- 1. Rev. Pollock titled his sermon, "Have Love For One Another. " The service concluded with the hymn, "Joyful, Joyful, We Adore Thee," and Benediction. by verse was made and comfrom pared with scripture throughout the Bible. The day began with an assembly for fourth, fifth, and sixth grade students and teachers. Robert brought many different kinds of displays, slide show, and many more educational activities. At 3:00 all students met on the back lawn to watch the exciting rocket launch. The students all agreed they enjoyed the program very much, and are looking forward to Mr. Bigelow coming next year. Parenting skills Bill Shaughncssy from the Cedar City congregation was the public speaker last Sunday. He chose "Your Future How Can It Be Known?" as the subject for the discourse. W. S. Maugham pre-regist- J. WITNESSES Della Partridge Warr. age 72, died on April 15. 1998 at the Dixie Regional Medical Center in St. George. She was born on October 27. 1925 in Payson. Utah to Alma Smith and Leona Tanner Partridge. She married Veldon Bud Warr on October 18, 1941 in Eureka, Utah. He died January 1, 1972. Della was raised on the family farm in Goshen, Utah. Della and her husband Bud raised their family in Eureka. Goshen, Elberta and Payson. After Bud's death she went to work for the Payson Hospital and in 1973 she moved to St. George. She worked for Dixie Regional Medical Center, Hawthorn, Coopers Nursing Home and Human Resources Advisor for the State of Utah. Della enjoyed crocheting, gardening, fishing and the outdoors. She played the accordion and the guitar. She was a hard worker, energetic, fun and gentle. Della was a wonderful mother and grandmother, and was a best friend to her children. She is survived by three daughters: Mrs. Floyd (Rose) Sandberg of Washington. Utah: Mrs. John (Dorothy) Haddon of Layton, Utah; and Mrs. Michael (Vclda Jean) Bcacham of St. George, Utah; 7 grandchildren; er 764-758- 0. The need for absolutes may be nothing but a want of love.
