Knowing this, the teachers decided to come up with a project that would involve the PEP KIDS. In cooperation with TREES UTAH, the class was able to obtain 800 trees which they were to plant in a Salt Lake area park. The only thing they had to pay for, was the cost of the buses to transport the students to the park. They got busy and recycled cans to raise the money, and then discovered that they didnt need the buses, because they were to plant the trees at Riverside Park (an equestrian park) within walking distance of their school. The PEP KIDS and their teachers planted the 800 trees in two days time!!! As for the money they raised from the recycled cans... they made a donation to TREES UTAH and then adopted an animal at Hoglc Zoo... a Mcer-ska- t.
