All of the students did very well, and some of them were trying it for the very first time. This activity was not required by the band members, but 13 of the students still made it a personal challenge to participate. We arc proud of all of them. An extra congratulation needs to be awarded to Lisa Baum and Josh (irimslead, who both received an adjudication rating of Excellence to qualify to participate in the State Festival. This past Monday at 7 p.m. was the magic show, put on by Mark and Mar Lynn Evans. An afternoon performance for the elementary school featured many student participants. The students especially liked Chris Wall in his goofy magician goggles trying to shake hands and cut a rope for Mr. Evans. The evening performance was exciting as well. Everyone had a lot of fun, especially in the magicians attempt to cut of Chris Bells head (which look the place of the lost head of lettuce) along with the carrots. All of the people there were trying to figure out the magicians tricks. The kids en joyed the animals that were used in his tricks and how well the animals were trained. Some people even thought they had the tricks figured out until he sawed the lady in half. Another thing the kids liked was when he had volunteers, called "victims," help him in his tricks. The magic show was a fun evening for people of all ages and sics. band-sponsor- 1 ed 433-636- FOR SALE 1 EUREKA w w VERY REASONABLE 1 Social Services Block Grant (SSBG) Application Due GIFT ITEMS FROM MEXICO I Fantastic Bargains on: 1 to clients on a reimbursement for service basis.
