Hostesses for the nicely arranged affair were Miss Kathie Berry. Mrs. Joy simons. and Mrs. Janet Chambers. The shower was held at the Hob Fife home. Those attending were Mrs. Patricia Brady, Mrs. Dora Brady. Mrs. Virginia Un- derwood. Mrs. Faun Fife. Mrs. Jolynn Sparrow, Mrs. Kamona Wilde. Mrs. Janalee Kvans. Mrs. Frances Kwell. Mrs. Alliene Fai ren. Mrs. Debbie Sanderson. Mrs. Mary Lou (Jorley. Mrs. Linda (iourley. Mrs. Donna Laird. Mrs. Debbie Bigler. Mrs. Adele Allinson. Mrs. Carla Fields. Mrs. Kathie Wahlberg. Mr. &!Mrs. Chris Kvans Janalee Eastwood weds Chris Evans Tuesday February 24 at Methodist Church Janalee Miss Eastwood, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Kastwood. and Chris Kvans. son of Mr. Floyd B. Kvans. recited wedding vows Saturday evening. February 24. in the Kureka Methodist Church, with Rev. Hob Musil officiating at the double ring ceremony. The ceremony was performed at (:(K) p.m.. the young bride entered the church on the arm of her father. Mrs. Mable Butler was the accompaniest for the wedding. The bride was lovely in her wedding gown of organza, underscored with heavv satin. The gown featured a scoop neckline, long Bishop sleeves, a fitted bodice. Venice lace enhanced the shirt fn)nt. bodice, sleeves and waistline. Her .Juliette cap held a long veil, with Cathedral train. She carried a bouquet of cranberry red roses and pink carnations. Her sister. Susan Kastwood. was maid of honor and wore a pink taffeta and organza jumper gown. Other attendants. Lois Debbie Kastwood. Kvans. ReNae Butler, and Carrie Ann Kastwood wore long cranberry velvet jumpers, with pink lolycster blouses. Kach carried one long stemmed pink rosebuds. Little i lower girl. .lennefer Kvans. niece of the groom, wore a pink gingham frock with red and white Hocked flowers, and a cranberry velvet sash. (Jus Walker performed the duties of best man. and ushers were Les Kastwood. Ronnie Kastwood. Flint and Steve Kvans. During the ceremony Miss Becky Robinson sang a solo, with Mrs. Malel Butler accompanying, on the piano and LaRca Dean on the guitar. Special guests of the evening was the brides, grandparents. Mr. and Mrs. Dave .Jasper, and great grandmother. Mrs. Annie Smith, and the grooms, grandmother. Mrs. Nellie Beddoes grandmother. Bcckstcad. and Mrs. Ladies of great Mary Mother of the bride greeted guests in a long cranberry skirt of velvet, with pink satin bodice. Her corsage was cranberry roses and pink carnations. Dave and Fred (iarhett: piano solo. .Janet in Elks Announcement is made this week of the forthcoming marriage of Louise Kmily Hardcastle. daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Hardcastle, of Toronto. Canada, to Robert J. Kirkham. He is the son of Mrs. La Von Kirkham and the late Sheldon R. Kirkham. of Kureka. The couple will be married March Kith, in the Los Angeles LI )S Temple. An open house in their honor will be held Saturday, March 17, iH'twcen 7:00 and 9:00 p.m. in the Kureka LDS Ward Cultural Hall. All friends and relatives are cordially invited to attend. Mrs. Cleo Judge was in Nephi Tuesday evening, attending a meeting of the Juab County Hospital Board. The meeting was held at the home of Mrs. Ina Kav. vocal Thursday Afternoon Club meets at Rose residence The Thursday Afternoon Club met last week at the home of Mrs. Dean Rose in Mammoth. Luncheon was served at 1:00 p.m.. and "5(H)" provided the afternoon's entertainment. High score was won by Mrs. Hrennan Hannifin. 2nd high Mrs. Minnie Painter, the cut. Mrs. Mel Hansen, and consolation. Mrs. Harold Cole. Others attending were Mrs. William Paxman. Mrs. Oscar Krickson. Mrs. Pete Sorensen. and Mrs. Hyrum Schmidt. Mrs. Minnie Painter and Mrs. Laird served refreshments at the close of the evening. Ladies of Elks met Tuesday evening in the Klks club rooms, with President Mary Schow presiding. A routine business meeting was and of, disposed nominations for new officers was held. Election will follow in a couple of weeks. A social evening with cards furnishing the diversion was enjoyed following the business session. The newlywcds are both door PRIZES isrr graduates of Tint ic High School, and the bride attended Snow College in Kphraim for a time, and is now attending I'tah Technical College in Provo. The groom is also attending the College in Provo. They will continue with their studies until the end of the school year. A rehearsal dinner, hosted by the groom's father. Floyd in Kvans. the Memorial was Building, given on Friday evening.
