Show Dies of Cancer At His Home In Salt SaIt Lake Funeral services for Dr Robert Gordon Larsen 63 were held Monday noon at Parleys Ward chapel Mr Larsen died Thursday at his home of cancer He was born May 5 1909 In Ephraim to William A A. A and Martha Sophia Dorius Dorlus Larsen Jr He married Martha Francell Evans June 10 1931 in the Salt Lake LAS Temple He was director of the Utah Engineering at the University of Utah and had received his BA degree from the U of U In chemistry In 1931 and his PhD from Harvard University He had written more than 30 articles and contributed to eight books pertaining to chemistry and product engineering A. A Dr Larsen was research co coordinator coordinator coordinator co- co for the Center enter for Environmental Studies and an adjunct professor of metallurgy and fuels engineering He lie has formerly been assistant to the vice president and director of the Research Agricultural Chemicals Division of the Shell Development Company He had memberships in the National Research Council the National Advisory Committee for Aeronautics chairman of the California section of the American Chemical So Society and regional vice president of the American Society of Lubrication Lubrication Lubrication cation Engineers An active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Lat Lat- ter-day ter Saints Dr Larsen was wasa a high priest of the Parleys Ward and had served as stake president in California and In England He Is survived by his widow four sons Robert G.
