S Hughes A number of Ephraim people were in Spanish Fork Monday to attend the funeral services for Ethel Smith Hughes 68 who died in a Payson hospital November 7 of natural causes Mrs Hughes lived in Ephraim from 1960 to 1965 where she was active in the auxiliary organizations of the Church She had previously lived in California and had lived in Spanish Fork for the past 15 years She had been a counselor in the Primary an organist chorister and a vocal soloist for some 61 years Mrs Hughes was born Dec 24 1901 in Springville to Lloyd B B. B and Lura Mason Smith She married Robert E E. E Hughes In October 1919 in the Salt Lake Temple Survivors include her husband husband husband hus hus- band four sons and two daughters daughters daughters daugh daugh- Robert Earl Hughes Bakersfield Calif Jay Hughes Fremont Calif Gene L.
