Show Funeral rites rues held e Oct 27 for or Ray a Olsen Funeral services for Ray Franklin Olsen 56 who died October 23 from Injuries suffered suffered suffered suf suf- in an automobile accident north of Ephraim were held Tuesday October 27 at 2 pm p.m. at the EphraIm West Ward Ray F F. F Olsen was born November 12 1913 to Andrew F. F and Susanah Perry Olsen He spent his early life In Ephraim Ephraim Eph Eph- raim and graduated from Snow College He graduated from the Utah State University with a degree In agriculture Later he attended the University of Utah and earned a degree In business He also received extensive ex extensive ex- ex te sIve training In Washington D D. D C C. C in the Internal Revenue Service and worked in Chicago for the service before being drafted into the army In August Augustof of 1942 Mr Olsen completed Officer Candidate School at Fort Knox Kentucky and served In the African and Italian military campaigns under General Mark Clark He was discharged in January 1946 as a captain in inthe inthe inthe the tank battalion On his return to civilian life Mr Olsen resumed his career with the Internal Revenue Service Service ice in Coeur D Alene Idaho While living here Ray Olsen was ordained an elder In the Church Six years later he was transferred to Provo to work In the IRS ms office there In November 1969 he retired from the Internal Re Revenue venue Service Service Service ice and had ad lived in Ephraim with his mother since that time Survivors Include his mother Ephraim and two brothers Clyde Russell China Lake California California Cal Cal- and Andrew Perry Salt Lake City |
