P Findlay Snow College registrar received word Saturday Saturday Saturday Satur Satur- day of the passing of his mother Gertrude Peterson Findlay 79 of Smoot Wyoming She died inthe in inthe inthe the Hospital at Afton Wyoming Wyoming Wyoming Wyo Wyo- ming after an extended illness Mrs Findlay was born Oct 26 1888 in Almy AImy Wyo to Charles Charles Charles Char Char- les Henry and Mary Nielson Bruce Peterson She was married married married mar mar- ried to Hugh W. W Findlay June 6 1912 in the Salt Lake Temple They spent most of their married married married mar mar- ried life in Star Valley where they raised dairy cattle and engaged engaged engaged en en- in farming She always had a garden and raised many beautiful flowers They were the parents of nine children one of whom died in infancy She is survived by her husband husband husband hus hus- band eight sons and daughters Merrill H H. B Orem 41 grandchildren dren 10 great-grandchildren great five sisters and a brother Always active in the Church Mr and Mrs Findlay filled a mission in their later years in the East Central States Mission spending most of their time in Paducah Kentucky They have spent the last few winters in Logan engaging in temple work They have visited frequently in Ephraim since Ross and wife moved here in 1950 and always expressed appreciation for the kindness and friendliness of the people of this area The Ephraim went to Smoot for the funeral services ices |
