B Nielson Funeral services for Mrs Anna James Bartholomew Nielson 89 were held Wednesday February 1 I at 1 pm p.m. in the Ephraim North Ward Chapel She passed away January in Orem after a long illness Mrs Nielson was born March 24 1877 at Fayette Sanpete County Utah to John and Elizabeth Elizabeth Elizabeth Eli Eli- zabeth William James She married married married mar mar- ried Joseph S S. S Bartholomew on December 20 1906 in the Manti Temple He died March 26 1930 She married Joseph A A. A Nielson in March of 1941 Mr Nielson died in October 1966 Mrs Nielson served a genealogical genealogical genealogical genea genea- logical mission in the British Isles in 1905 She attended Snow College the year after it was founded She has provided thome t e home and acted as house mother for hundreds of college students student while they attended school in Ephraim Mrs Nielson has also served in every auxiliary organization organization organ organ- of the church while in Fayette Gunnison and Ephraim and has also been very active in civic affairs She graduated from the Stev Stevens Stevens ens Vocational Training School in the culinary arts cooking department in Los Angeles and attended and graduated from an extension course held at the at Logan She worked for forthe forthe forthe the Forest Service for 11 years She was also known for her kindness to the sick poor and needy in the community When Mrs Nielson celebrated her birthday 88 of her Snow College students and their partners partners partners part part- ners came to help pay tribute to her They came from all over the country even as far as Virginia Virginia Virginia Vir Vir- ginia and New Orleans Survivors include a son Dale Bartholomew Orem and two daughters Mrs Curtis Lila Keller Manti and Mrs Orvin Arvilla Hanson Whittier Cali Cali- fornia She is also survived by bya a stepson J.
