O Anderson bishops bishop's counselor counsel r. r Mr Olsen 80 died in a Salt Lake hospital at p.m. p.m. p. p m m. m Saturday after an an extended extend extend- ed Illness He was born Dec 13 1881 in Drammer Norway a son of Jorgen EdWard and Karen Ross Olsen He came to America America America Am Am- erica July 1 1884 and the family settled in Ephraim where he had since made his home He worked in t the h e mountains a as a young man getting out timber to be besaw saw sawed l into lumber to be used in building homes in Eph Eph- raim Later he took up the carpentry and building trade and built or helped build several homes in the com com- He was also noted for the very neat home and grounds he kept He served as ns city building inspector andone andone and andone one year cared for the commUnity community community com com- rose garden that had been planted south of his lot loton loton loton on city property He married Sorena Anderson Anderson Ander Ander- son Dec 18 1901 in Ephraim Ephraim Ephraim Eph Eph- raim and the marriage was solemnized in iri the Manti ManU Temple on Sept 5 1924 She died Sept 21 1953 Survivors include one son Orval Olsen Provo s seven e eve v e n grandchildren o 0 one n e great great- grandchild two sisters Mrs Selma and Mrs Hart Har- Har t dine Carlisle both of Salt Lake City also several nieces nephews and cousins Prelude and postlude organ music at the funeral was played my Mrs Ar Ardith ith Peterson Peterson Peterson Pet Pet- erson who also accompanied the choir which was directed by Mrs June Nelson The choir sang I ul Know That My Redeemer Lives Lires and Abide With Me Other music was wasa a vocal solo In uIn The Garden by Montel Green with Mrs Peterson as accompanist Speakers were Frank Madsen Madsen Madsen Mad- Mad sen of Ephraim and LaMont Olsen of Salt Lake City a nephew with closing remarks by Mr Anderson Prayer at the home was by Clayton Stout the invocation was by W W.
