J Wallace conducting Mrs Thorne died Wednesday y at her Crystal Springs home hom e following an extended illness Mrs Thorne was born o on n April 26 1866 in Lehi of pi pioneer pioneer pio pio- o neer parents She was a daughter daugh daugh- h- h ter of Captain John Brown Brow Browand n and Amy Snyder Brown He Her father and Orson Pratt were e the first scouts to view Salt Sal t Lake Valley five days before e the entry of Brigham Youn Young g veers He was later captain captai n of 13 immigrant trains across s the plains A member of the LD S Church she had resided i in Sn n Lehi Pleasant Grove Heber City and Manti ManU She married James T. T Thorne In the old Endowment House on Jan 1 1885 He died in 1910 Both of her daughters and 23 brothers and nd sisters proceeded her in death Survivors Include a sister Mrs Mary Brown Clark Utah's oldest resident and five grandchildren Mrs Helen Carlile Carme Mrs Maries Manes Gillespie both of Manti ManU Mrs Grant Amy Bond and Bert T. T Giles GUes Kaysville James T.
