G conducting Mr Keller died at his home Monday afternoon March 17 of oC ofa a n heart ailment following an illness of seven weeks He was born in Manti Marti July 21 1898 a son of Jacob cob a and n d Dor Dorthea hea Keller He attended Manti schools the University UnIversity University Un Un- of Utah and BYU He married Lillie Barton Inthe in inthe inthe the Salt Lake Temple in 1925 and they have made Manti their home home- throughout their married life liCe Mr Keller was was was' active in community community community com com- affairs giving willingly of his time for Cor many activities He lie had served as a member of the Manti ManU City Council He lie was wasa a veteran of oC World War I and an active member of American Legion Post 31 having served as post commander He was a prominent stockman and farmer farm farmer farm farm- er enjoying enjoying- a multitude of friends as business acquaint acquaint- ances An active member of the Church he served a mission in inthe inthe the Southern States from 1919 to 1921 He served as president in the Manti Monti and South wards was M Men leader in the North Ward and anda a member of the MIA Stake Board He lie served as of the Manti North Ward for five years and at the time of his death eath was a member of the South Sanpete Stake High Coun Coun- cil II He is survived by his widow of Manti three sons and two I daughters Mrs Jack Helen Higbee of Jamaica British West I I Indies Ray Jacob and Kathryn Keller all of Manti and Karl Keller Salt Lake City four brothers brothers brothers bro bro- and a sister Curtis Jesse Frank and Dorothy Keller all of Manti and Lamont of Santa SantaCruz SantaCruz SantaCruz Cruz California and by eight grandchildren Burial will be in the M Man Manti a n t i City Cemetery under the direction direction direction tion of f the Buchanan Mortuary with military rites accorded by American Legion Post 31 |
