L D. D S. S church in Scandinavia returning in ill 1881 and resumed his former occupation occupation occupation tion of school teacher Later Lator he was employed in ill the Ephraim OP p store and succeeded Anthon Anthon An- An thon H. H Lund as as' as superintendent in August 1883 1888 He left Ephraim for or l Price rice in hI 1887 and established the Emery i er nt l company and ana was v s l. l later te appointed n d postmaster ster I i of Price In 1889 Mr Olson was t ff J t L Y elected superintendent dent of schools schools' of Em Emery ry county holding this tIllS position for four years In 1891 1801 he married Miss Birdie P P. Olson The same year he was elected to the legislature on OI the Democratic Democratic ticket February 1905 he returned to Ephraim and engaged in business and the same year was elected mayor of this city Th The following following follow follow- in ing year he was vas elected school trustee and was chairman of the thebo bo board rd when the present school building was vas erected In 1910 he was aga again 11 elected to the the legislature legislature legislature leg leg- as senator Mr Olson was appointed d postmaster post- post master of Ephraim July uly 1610 5 and was serving in that hat capacity at the time of his death A wife and the following children children children chil chil- dren survive him Mrs Irs William Mace of St. St George Ora t Lind Vedel Oscar Maurine and Lane Olson |
