Very Impressive funeral services were held June 5th 1 n the Ferron Ward Chapel for Kerry PhUlip Leslie, fourteen month old son of PhUUp and shauna Payne Leslie of MillvUle. Kerry died June 2nd of an Infection at a Logan hospital. He was born March 27. 1972 at Logan, Survivors are parents, sisters, Cindy and Kandle both of MUlvUle. Grand lar-en- ts Mr, and Mrs. Easton Leslie, Ferron; and Mrs. Eva Payne Hanynes, Webster springs. West Virginia. Burial was In the Ferron City Cemetery. Easton and Delma Leslie returned with their son Mr and Mrs. PhUlip Leslie and famUy to MUlvUle for a few days, whUe there they helped them move to Providence. PhUlip graduated from the USU with a degree In ClvU Engineering He Is now employed at Cashe County as Miss Charleen Wild visited with her sltt-ergrandparents Mr. and Mrs. Edgar of Orangeville. Larsen returned home after be ud their engineer. A large group of senior Citizens from Ferron were in Provo Friday attending the Senior Citizens social held up the Pr- ovo canyon. Mrs. Amy Waymon, Mrs. Sharon and little Arnie visited In Green River during the week, then Sharon and Arnie went on to Salt Lake to visit with her folks the Browns. Mr. and Mrs. Walter (Bonnie) Freeman and famUy have moved from salt Lake and are now living In the Annie Funk home. All Emery County senior citizens are urged to attend a special meeting at the Senior Citizen Center In Castle Dale on Friday, June 22 at 2 p.m. The meeting wUl take place to elect new officers for the coming year. They attended church In Livingston Montana, where they have a chapel overlooking the city. Utah and Idaho forms look good they have a lot of moisture. Mr. and Mrs. WUlard Sandberg made a trip to salt Lake to see Audrys Dr. A lovely wedding reception was held in the Huntington cultural hall Saturday evening for the newlyweds, Lanice and Art Rasmussen, after having their marriage solemnized In the LDS Manti Temple Saturday, The First Ward held their annual banquet Friday evening in the cultural hall, the tables were set with patriotic fashion, with the red, white and blue, and flags as center pieces. A lovely steak dinner was prepared by the Relief society sisters, a good crowd attended. Tedd Johnson made a trip to Ogden on Friday night to get the three boys who attended Boys State from Huntington. They were: Gary Wilson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Grant Wilson; Kerry Powell, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jay Powell and Earl Grange, son of Mr. and Mrs. Mar Grange. The boys had spent a week there learning of the function of the government. Mrs. Nita Hampshire and son Richard were dinner guests Sunday at the home of Mrs. Famie Baxter, Doretta Bennett was also present. LaRae Fillmore is spending the week in Salt Lake visiting with her folks. The First Ward Relief Society held their Relief society at the First Ranger station up Huntington Canuon, each member was to furnish a salad or desert, and the Presidency furnished the sloppy joes and the drink. A large crowd attended and after they had separated for their classes they enjoyed all the good food that had been prepared. A group of ladies will be exercising their talents for the next week while they are having an upholstery class, ng old worn out furniture into beautiful useful pieces. It was held intheLegionLionhall all week with Wanda Douglas as instructor. Mr. and Mrs. B.W. staker received the sad news of the death of a new grandson bom on June 15 and only lived three hours. They gave him the name, Brett Wray staker, born to Mr. and Mrs. Earl staker, Bountiful. He is survived by two brothers and two sisters, Wayne Raney, Katalee of Woodscross, and Carolee Dudlestonof sa- - It Lake; grandparents Mr. and Mrs. B.W. Staker, and Mr. and Mrs. Elmer R. Richfield. Graveside services were held Monday at 2 p.m. at the Bountiful Sc-ov- lll, Memorial Park. Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Helms and boys of Okinowa visited with her sister. Ruby and Leo Woodward and children for a week. Mr. Helms is in the U.S. Air Force, he was in Okinawa for nearly three years and Mrs. Helms and childrenhavebeen there for two years. They left Sunday to visit with his folks in North Dakota, and he will be stationed at the Ellis Air Force 4-- nd Base in Nevada. The Busy Bakers H Club, saw a demonstration by Mrs. Marilyn Manning of the Utah Power & Light Co. She gave many hints and ideas on how to give demonstrations.
