Loves Retreat", Utah, When I Dream and Even-.- n Star are four of these songs which are now recorded and ire on request at radio stations KFVD (Los Angeles), KSL (Salt Lake City), KOAL (Price), and one other station in Cal Ifomia. Within a week too, they will be on request at the Rich field, Utah, station. Recorded within the past month by Jad Dees, popular Man of a Thousand Songs of Pacific Coast radio fame, the songs have already been severl times requested from KFVD, and each time the disc jockey has made very complimentary Introductions of the song. The Johnsons returned1 recently from a two months stay in California where, beside having these four songs recorded, they were able to get them channeled for the consideration of both Roy Rogers and Jimmy Wakeley which fact suggests ihe Johnsons may have something. All of this started at some uncertain time in the past when, now and anon, little spatterings of melody and words popped into Lowells head perhaps as he was riding the range or tilling his land. Having had technical musical training, Mrs Johnson puts die melodies on paper and plays them back to her spouse, who, singularly, is wholly untrained1 in the field of music. He. it is who catches the bits of song out of nowhere and, we suppose, hums them to his wife. However they work it, theyre a ...am who seem to be going places.
