MALES BREEDING STOCK BLOOD TESnm -- 3, 1879. ;H I Echoes of the 'Past Grover Asay had the honor of being Castle Dale's first volunteer in the World War, having enlisted ir May, 1917. The first boys to enlist from Huntington were Wayne C. Loveless, Rulon Hardee, Frank B. Furlong, Rosel J. Jensen and Gerald Nielson. Among those enlisting from Cleveland were Denver C. Oviatt, Lorenzo Pulsipher and Rulon Oviatt. Added to the early enlistments from Castle Dale were Paul Lund, Bazil Lake and Carter Curtis. Mrs. Andrew Anderson, one of Orange ville's oldest and most respected pioneers, died at that place on May 9, 1917. The deceased was one of a family of three girls and one boy, whose while mother died In on their way to this country, while the father died soon after reaching Utah. She married Andrew Anderson and the couple were among the first to locate in Orangeville. A. E. Lamph of Cleveland and Elnora Seely of Castle Dale; Farrel Day and Mary Johnson of Lawrence; Niels Anderson, of Castle Dale, and Jennie Fousett, of Price; Hyrum L. Tidwell of Wellington and Inez Oviatt of Elmo. Mrs. John Eden died suddenly at iher home in Cleveland, June 13, 1917. She left, besides her husband, a large family of children, all of whom were married except her youngest son, who was away on a misson. The road was designated as a Post road in 1917, under which agreement approximately $1000 a mile would be spent on the road for five years. Loren Stevens of Ferron and Miss Rosetta Anderson of Emery were married in June 1917. Owen Allred, of Cleveland, lost one joint of a finger in June 1917, by getting is caught in a rope while h?ndli::g a horse. John Lamph and Miss Christie Madsen of Cleveland, were married on June 23, 1S17. Reid. of Orangeville and Miss Maud Miller, of Moab were married in the latter town on June 12. 1917. Ira Beal died at his home in Emery on June 23, 1917. Geo.
