Coast Indians Aid Navajos Two thousand pounds of canned salmon will be rushed to the starving Navajos by the Lummi Indians, a tribe on the Pacific coast, who live near Seattle. Securing special permission to catch the fish out of season, the Indians delivered the salmon to a Seattle cannery which processed them free of The American Can charge. Oliver Larsen just returned home from Dragerton where he spent .the holiday season with his sons Edgel and Garth and their families. Mr and Mrs Lynn Williams and children of Salt Lake visited during the holidays with their mothers, Mrs Ella Mortensen and Mrs Anna Williams. Mr and Mrs Reed Anderson, Mr and Mrs Rhody Anderson, and Mr and Mrs Moyle Anderson all visited their parents, Mr and Mrs Warren Anderson. Mrs Maggie Hansen was taken to a Salt Lake hospital very ill. Mr and Mrs Archie Mortensen have moved back to Emery irom Salt Lake. Mrs Ella Olsen has just returned from Salt Lake. She went there with her brother and his wife, Mr and Mrs Wilbur Peacock, who spent Xmas here. Melvin Danielson from Roy, Utah, was the guest of Tess Broderick during the holidays. Morris Peacock of Orangeville, died Wednesday, January 7, in the Price city hospital. He had been ill for some time but spent only the last five days in the hospital. He was born Dec. 14, 1912 in Orangeville, the son of Wm. George Peacock Jr. and Jennie Ann Jewkes. He married Maree Rasmussen of Castle Dale Dec. 20, 1933 in ithe Salt Lake Temple and has three children, Joan Evelyn and George. He has taught school for the last 13 years and at the time of his death was principal of the Orangeville school. He has always been active in civic and church affairs having served two terms as mayor and at present was Ward Clerk. He has been active in the Boy Scouts, and helped organize the Orangeville 47 Club. Besides his wife and children he is survived toy a brother, Max Peacock of Ferron and his grandfather, Joseph H. Jewkes, Orangeville. Burial will be under the direction of the Wallace Mortuary of Price and Castle Dale. Friends may view the body at the Wallace Mortuary in Castle Dale, Saturday, i January 10. H. O. Lail, Field Representative of the Veterans Reemployments Rights Dlvison of the U. S. Department of Labor and John C. Forrester, manager of the Pilce, Utah, Department of Employment Security office, jointly announced the appointment. Mr Curtis will serve voluntar ily in giving advice and assistance to veterans who feel that they have not received reemployment . and seniority rights to which they are entitled under the Selective Service Act. The reemployment rights functions of the Selective Service Act were transferred to the U. S. Department of Labor when the Selective Service Act expired last March 31. Every effort will be made to adjust all cases amicably, Mr Curtis said. This is in keeping with the policy declared by the Secretary of Labor, Schwellen-bac- h, and Robert K. Saylers, Director of the Departments Veterans Reemployment Rights Division.
