Alumni meeting held yesterday afternoon Mrs. Clara Wick-man Wick-man was named as treasurer to take the place of K. D. Kuhre who leaves today for his home in Sandy. The E. S. A. track and ball teams went to Price to meat the Carbon County Coun-ty high school boys last Saturday but there was nothing to do but sit indoors all day as it stormed there worse than it did hid here on Monday. Cards have beed distributed announcing announc-ing the 6-weeke music course to be conducted con-ducted by Prof. Ernest Halverson beginning be-ginning next Monday. Prof. Halverson wilt instruct in piano, vocal and all wind instruments and guarantees success. Mrs. S. E. Baker store? and it is to be continued on until it connects with that of the C. W. & M. Co. The sidewalk is the work of L. C. Petersen. Mr. and Mr3. Clem' Christensen and 5-months old babe passed through town yesterday on their way to their home in Loa after a short vipit with relatives in Cleveland. Mr. Christensen is principal prin-cipal of schools at Loa and seems to be getting along fine. Melvin Hill of Lawrence returned last Saturday to Emery county after some six years away from home, having taken music in Germar.y and the east following a very successful mission in Germany. He is now a finished musician anJ everyone is very anxious to hear him. Sheriff O. W. Sitterud and Physician J. M. Graham made a rather nasty trip last Wednesday night when they made a trip to a sheep camp beyond Ivy creek to inspect the body of Sam tilackham, a Moroni sheepman who died very sud denly from heart trouble. The weather was very stormy and all had a rathtr hard experience. Word came to local parties yesterday I afternoon of an auco accident on the railroad bridge at Woodside. Travelers are forced to use this bridge as there is no bridge yel at the Woodside crossing cross-ing of the Price river and the owner of j this machine was unable to get his car j out of the way before it was smashed I by No. 9. No one was hurt, however. "AU-of-a-Sudden-Peggy," the excellent excell-ent drama presented by the E. S. A. elocution class under the direction of Miss Woolf, was given a grand ovation at the performance in the Academy hall last Thursday night, when the house was packed. The drama and presentation pre-sentation were the best seen here in many a day.
