En tanto, se registraban choques entre opositores al presidente y a su reforma con adeptos al mandatario y su propuesta, en el este del pais. “Nos ha tocado a Venezuela dar una batalla, una batalla por lograr un nuevo orden internacional, un mundo nuevo, donde se acaben los imperios, la hegemonia de un grupo de paises poderosos”, dijo Chavez en un discurso pronunciado Maracay, en la base aérea de 70 kildmetros al oeste Angel Manzanares / AP de Caracas.
