W Hancock passed away at his home last Tuesday about abo l 2 o'clock o clock p. p m. m from cancer canCel of the stomach from which he has hs been suffering a number of ot years ears H He did not know he was suffering from cancar can can- eel car until about eight months ago when it began hogan growing very rapidly rapid rapid- ly and caused him a great deal of distress He immediately went to Roosevelt and consulted Dr Dr Morton I who revealed the true cause of his ailment and told him the only way ho he stood any chance of recovery recover would bo bo be from a serious operation operatic whereupon Mr 11 Hancock went t to Salt Lake where six of the best doctors doctors doc doc- tors put him upon the operating table and found they could do nothIng nothing nothing noth noth- ing for tor him and told relatives h lie he would live only about seven hours but he began to get better and after about a month came home H He held out strong hope of recovery until until until un un- til very recently when lIe he seemed t to give ghe up hope lIe He gradually grew gre weaker until the end came He Ht wa was cheerful and patient through hl his illness ill ill- ness to a very m marked degree all all- ways kind and considerate to those thos who attended him Mr Hancock leaves a wife and six children the oldest about fourteen years and the youngest about two VO years ears old am and two brothers who reside at Payson Utah and numerous other relatives and rinds He Ho was a good citizen and always worked to build up the community In which he lived and was well liked by all who wh knew him Funeral services services' were held In Inthe the school chool house Friday at 11 a a. a m. m under under under un un- un- un der tho direction of Bishop Dishop David F F.
