The fish and game department 'points but that the date was set by the state legislature. But here is an out for the teachers at least. (Attention Superintendent Harmon and the Carbon County School Board.) We will teach two Saturdays, October 11 and 18, and in turn we get October 21 and 22. These two days, with the 20th that is given by the Board will give the teachers three days to go to the mountains and bring venison to the meat hungry refrigerators. - Eleven East Carbon Cultu-r- a sponsored a book drive and placed many fine donated books along with new ones in a public library in the Community Building. Mrs. Morrison, chairman and other ladies of the community donated many hours of their time without pay in order to be of service to the public. Recently the building was taken over by the Episcopal church and will be used solely for religious purposes. At present the library books are stored and not in use except for those that were given to the Columbian school library at an earlier date. The Cultura members wish to give these stored books to Dragerton school for use in the elementary grades and Junior High. As a club they believe this will meet with the public approval, many of whom donted books If there. are any objections to the plan or suggestions as to how these books might serve our community to better advantage please contact one of Cultura members.
