Other voters throughout the country will also go to the polls on that day to vote for the party candidates filed on the ballots of their respective states. The Utah ballot, a sample of which is published in this issue of The Tribune, also contains a blank party ballot which is provided for those who wish to write in other choices for public office. Also to be voted on in Utah is a yes or no on a constitutional amendment which provides for a joint resolution proposing to ajnend Article 1, Section 13 of the constitution of the state of Utah, relating to prosecution by information or indictment and to grand juries. Utahs ballot this year is different from those of former election years in that voters Will cast their ballots directly for the presidential and vice presidential candidates instead of for the electors. These electors were chosen at the respective party conventions held this past summer. According to the squares beside each name, Utah voters will be able to vote for a presidential candidate on one, ticket and a vice presidential candidate on another. Another change in the Utah voting laws is that it is not necessary to line through a name opposite the candidate voted for. except in a case where more than one candidate is to be elected to an office, such as the district judges in the Seventh district.
