Weber, at present is leading the Region 1 teams, and are favored to represent their Region in the playoff, but they were no match for the orphan Dinosaurs as Lindsey, Crawford, Faddis, and Plaga ripped through their lines. The Carbon line also showed their superiority as Nelson, Plaga, DAmbrosio and Cunningham gave upstate spectators a preview of what to expect when our boys get into the championship playoffs. This will be held on Saturday night, November 13, in the school gymnasium. The general committee on arrangements for the event has met and planned the celebration. Various committees have been appointed. Pupils of the school are busy making posters to advertise the fiesta. Detailed plans of the fiesta are being worked out and public announcement will be made next week of the many activities that will be a part of the fiesta. is sponsoring RITA GEASE CHAIRMAN CARD PARTY CATHOLIC of the- Altar Society met last Wednesday in the Parish Hall m Dragerton. Members - Midnight Spook Show Saturday Dragerton Theatre There will be a midnight spook show o n Halloween night at the Dragerton Theatre The double bill is She Wolf of London and The Spider Woman Strikes Back. Larry Stephens has just returned from Washington where the entire course of action was outlined. There will be four flights set up, Sunnydale, Columbia, Sunnyside and Dragerton. The boys and girls will be taught aeronautics and radio work. The course will be so complete that when they are finished they will be experienced enough to take positions in whatever field that they majored whether in pilot training or radio transmission work. The main purpose of the course is to train personnel for courier and rescue work. In case of a national emergency the personnel can be used for military purposes. Mr. Hub Peterson has announced that the Dragerton Locker, located near- the west end of Dragerton, off of 8th West will have an official opening on November 1. There will be 350 lockers of various sizes for the public. In addition to the storage facilities there will be cutting and processing available. The new members are Morgan and Mina Hackney, Emmett and Moda Lukas and Gerald Graves. As most of East Carbon is aware this club was organized last year when the Menotti boys and the Poglajen boys went out deer hunting and fended up by losing their hbrses. Freddie as president of the club was happy to announce the new members who were allowed to join after it was proven that they lost their horse. Fred Menotti feels that he Is not in too good standing in the club for this year he shot a deer in Salma canyon and was unable to lose his horse. Albert Menotti is still out.
