If we desire to citizens of Dragerton continue to be governed 4by commissioners who have the entire county under their jurisdiction or to be governed by their own neighbors who know the problems of the area in which they live. Some day this second largest community in Carbon county must take over the responsibility of caring for their own problems. Incorporation may or may not receive a favorable vote at this election but sooner or later any community with pride in its homes and families must vote for it. If we desire these things it will be up to the individual in the town to so vote through their representatives if we are incorporated. Thus it will only cost us what we want it to cost us. Our great constitution gives us the right to govern ourselves. Are we going to exercise that right or allow ourselves to be governed by citizens elected with the vote of the entire county, citizens who may of may not know what is best for the town of Dragerton? It is important for all Americans to register and vote. There are few countries in the world today where the individual can exercise a free choice for those leaders whom he desires to have take charge of his government. . VI We hear of Russia and her sat-of ellite nations with their form democracy where one must vote in the open and for only one slate of candidates. Our secret voting a prerogative that we should ; is all exercise in order to keep our country free. Small minorities can rule us if we allow these organized groups to vote and we do notvoce., Before we can vote, however, we must make sure that we are registered in the proper precinct. In addition to the senatorial and congressional race there are many county candidates to be chosen besides an incorporation issue for the citizens of Dragerton. The people of Dragerton must determine whether they desire to be governed by the county as at present or whether they, as the second largest community in Carbon county, will govern themselves through their own representatives who live in their own town. A person should vote for the candidate or issue which he honestly believes is the best for him and his country. BPW Club Attend FIRST PLACE HELD .
