Walker joined the Kaiser organization in 1943 as office manager of Permanente Metals Corporations Manteca, California, magnesium plant. In 1944 he moved to Kaiser Steel where he was named assistant administrative manager at the companys steel mill at Fontana. He was named assistant controller in 1946, and upon his appointment to controller in 1948, he was transferred to J. R. Walker, Santa Claus Coming to Miners Trading Post t Again this year, Miners Trading Post is sponsoring their annual Christmas Party for all East Carbon children under 12 years of age. There will be a free shov starting at 1 p.m. at NuStar Thea- tre, and immediately after the show Santa Claus will arrive. He will personally present each child with a Christmas 'gift. Alger, Carbon county attorney, has been elected president of the Eastern Utah Bar Association for the year 1958. He succeeds Boyd Bunnell of Price. The organization represents lawyers in the counties of Carbon, Emery, Grand ancSan Juan. The new president is a graduate of the University of Utah Law School. Prior to that he attended Carbon high school - and Carbon College, and received a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Southern California. He has been county attorney of Carbon County since January, 1955, is past president of the East Carbon Rotary Club, and is presently serving as president of the Carbon County Young Democrats.
