Show Page Six Home Grounds Beautification . . . . County Agent Robert L. Hassell will conduct a series of lecture on home grounds beautification, beginning in Price Monday, April 25. The purpose of this activity is to give home owners of this area proper recommendations for home grounds planting in Carbon county. ; It has been brought to the attention of the county agent that outside nurseries have been selling plants which will not grow in this area. The agent invites any home owner of the county to attend any of these meetings. The Price meeting will be held at the county agents office at 8 :00 p.m. April 25. A meeting will be held in Wellington April 27, one in Helper on Friday, April 29, and one in Dragerton on Monday, May 2. All will be evening meetings. - , if is Illegal . . . All were adult birds, with some 1,320 being' held over through the winter at the Vernal game bird farm, the balance from excess brood stocks at the Price and Springville game bird hatcheries. Three of the 16 releases were made as new plants in Utah, Rich, and Daggett counties. The other 13 were supplemental plants in areas previously stocked- with chukars. The birds are expected to nest in the wild this spring. Release of these birds brings the total number of chukars planted in Utah to 25,348 birds as the departments program to establish the chukar goes into its fifth year. Releases have now been made into 45 chosen planting sites over 25 counties of the state. Perry Egan of the Department of Fish and Game. . He noted the sucess in feeding brine shrimp to trout fry during the first experiments conducted with this feed during the past year. The director said the walleyes will be stocked in some new waters and as supplemental plants in some waters where they have been planted previously. .
