Show DOXHOLDER Serving the Mining Area of East Carbon. Volume 6 7, 000 population $900,000 monthly payroll. Per Copy Dragerton, Carbon County, Utah, Thursday, March 5, 1953 Mine Safety Head We Must Protect Our Freedom "I - Praise ye the Lord are the words of the Bible, not praise ye the Lord in a temple or praise ye the Lord in a synagogue, but praise ye the Lord. Each Sunday morning at Wasatch young men and women of ten different faiths worship their God side by side. There are two outstanding reasons that enable these people with such widely varied faiths to bow humbly together. First the most important, one universal God has bestowed his bounteous mercies and wondrous blessings upon all of us regardless of the difference in our individual beliefs, and it is this one God that inclines his ear to the prayers of all of us. Secondly, we as Americans that it is our Godgiven right to worship Him in any way we so desire. This is one of the dearest of all our freedoms and one that is often taken for granted. How often do you stop to think as you enter the church of your choice, how fortunate you are to be able to make that choice? Do you stop to think that there is no dictator or politicalism that has the power to imprison you for daring to interpret the word of God in your own way? To keep this freedom, we cannot, we must not ignore it or underrate it. We must fight and if necessary die to preserve for all posterity the great freedoms that have been entruste to us. But I think the government should get out of this socialistic adventure, and as soon as it does it this business of feeding children should be a family or community problem. Even the state should feel a transgressor to step into such a personal situation. ? Ronald Anderson has just recently returned home from Korean duty with the army. On the 12th of February he received his dis- i charge. Ronald spent eighteen months overseas, four and a half months of this was spent in Ja- i panese hospitals from wounds he received in October of 1951. From January 23 to December 1 of 1952 he was on Occupational duty at Hokkiado; from the end of this term of service until he was discharged he was a guard at Koje Island. We all are indeed glad to have Ronald with us again and offer a very hearty Welcome Home!
