An enlarged program has been planned this year for the local boys who at present have the largest membership in the history of this area. At present five troops are in active operation. The Dragerton LDS church has a troop under scout master, Lem Anderson; the Rotary club is sponsoring the Dragerton troop with Clair Behl-in- g as scoutmaster. Si Ross is scout master of the Sunnydale troop that is sponsored by the Kiwanis club. Albert Jones is scout master for the Sunnyside LDS, troop while Clyde Rock is scout leader for' the Columbia LDS troop. Three troops have all been in operation for several years with a continuing Increasing membership. The activities planned for this year are very ambitious and attests to the enthusiasm that the boys and leaders are giving to Scouting. Doug Bon is district vice chairman for Carbon county. The district met at the Dragerton school library Sunday to draw up the final plans for this years activities. A discussion was held in regard to the annual Boy Scout fund drive. In view of the present working conditions it was decided to postpone any drive until later in the year. Another point brought up at the meeting was that of membership. Ruesch, manager. The first regular visit date will be Wednesday, February 15, from 3:00 until 5:00 pm. at the Galbreath office in Dragerton. This added service ia provided, according to Mr. Ruesch, because of a gradual increase during the past year to the number of people from East Carbon communities who have had to come to Price to secure the help or information desired.
